 Youngstown for CityScape’s 19th Annual Beautification Awards

CityScape Awards Honor Community’s Dedication to Beauty

YOUNGSTOWN, November 14, 2025 – Youngstown CityScape announced the winners of its 19th annual “Youngstown CityScape Beautification Awards” at a ceremony and reception on Thursday, November 13th at Concept Studio, 217 W. Federal Street. CityScape presented awards in four categories: Business, Institutional, Community, and Residential. 

Winners in the Business category were:

  • Mechelle Bennett – RHM Real Estate Group
  • Melanie Clarke-Penella – Blue Heron Treasure Shop
  • James Washington – J.E. Washington Funeral Services

Winners in the Institutional category were:

  • Anthony Winterburn – St. Brendan Church
  • Paul Garchar – Potential Development

Winners in the Community category were:

  • City of Youngstown Parks and Rec Department/Clemate Franklin – Lynn Park

Winners in the Residential category were:

According to Sharon Letson, Executive Director of Youngstown CityScape, “The awards are a way for the community to join together and say ‘thank you’ to those who are committed to making a difference and helping improve and beautify Youngstown. CityScape’s goal is to highlight the positive energy and effort that contributes to the city’s appearance, which in turn inspires others to do the same.”
